Did you ever ask yourself - what is sound healing, really? We have been asked by many people before joining a class at Nestra….
At its essence, sound healing is the therapeutic use of vibration to support healing and balance. Every cell in your body vibrates. When you’re in harmony—physically, emotionally, and spiritually—those vibrations are in rhythm. But stress, trauma, and illness can create disharmony in your system.
Through sound healing, we use instruments like: Crystal and Tibetan singing bowls, Gongs and drums, Voice, toning, and mantras, Chimes and other frequency tools These sounds don’t just “wash over” you they interact directly with your nervous system, brainwaves, and energy field. Your body knows how to heal. Sound simply reminds it how.
Why Sound Healing Works: Your Body is Listening
Did you know your body is made up of nearly 70% water? And water — more than any other element — is highly responsive to vibration.
Just like a still lake ripples when touched, the fluids in your body respond instantly to sound. Every cell, every organ, every system within you is attuned to frequency. This is why sound healing isn’t just “relaxing” it’s deeply regulating. It speaks the language your body understands best: vibration.
From ancient temples to modern neuroscience labs, we now know that sound can shift brainwave states, balance the nervous system, and even support emotional release. It works on the subconscious level, bypassing the thinking mind and going straight to the places where words often fall short.

Why People Are Turning to Sound Healing
The benefits go far beyond relaxation. Here’s what clients often experience:
A deep sense of peace and calm
Release of stored emotional tension
Relief from anxiety, insomnia, or burnout
Increased clarity, focus, and creativity
Pain reduction and physical healing
Energetic realignment and chakra balancing
Heightened intuition and spiritual connection
After a session, people often say things like: "I feel lighter." "It’s like something shifted." "I haven’t felt this calm in months."
What Is a Group Sound Bath Like?
A group sound bath is a communal healing experience. You’re not just receiving sound—you’re contributing to a collective field of presence.
Here’s what it looks like:
Arrival: You settle into your space with a yoga mat, blanket, and pillow. Most people lie down, but you can sit if you prefer.
Opening: I’ll guide the group into the space with breathwork, a grounding meditation, or intention setting.
Sound Immersion: You’ll be surrounded by the live vibrations of crystal bowls, gongs, chimes, and other sacred instruments. These frequencies entrain the brain into deeper states of rest—theta and delta brainwaves—where real healing and insight can occur.
Closing: We gently bring the group back, sometimes with silence, poetry, or soft music. Some sessions offer time to journal or share, but you’re never required to speak.
Group sessions are powerful. Even in silence, we heal together.
Final Thoughts: Healing Is Remembering
Sound doesn’t heal you—it helps you remember how to heal yourself. It brings your nervous system into a state of deep rest where the body can restore, the mind can quiet, and the spirit can speak.
Whether you’re navigating change, seeking clarity, processing grief, or simply craving stillness, sound healing offers you a doorway inward.
You don’t need to know how it works. You don’t need to believe anything. Just bring your breath, your body, and your willingness to receive.
Ready to Experience It?
